The South African LED Network is an association for Local Economic Development (LED) practitioners which strives to improve the understanding of local economies by promoting discussion and exchange between the various kinds of LED practitioners to build a body of knowledge on effective strategies and measures.
The South African LED Network seeks to appoint a Facilitator (Communicator and Networker) in the field of Business or Economic Development, based in Pretoria, to complement the SA LED international team.
S/he might come from the private or public sector, have worked with local government before and are keen to engage with senior stakeholders at different levels and craft new partnerships for the LED Network at national level as well as root it within local level practitioners as core target group. S/he must be self-starter with a hands-on attitude to tasks and a creative mind in shaping and bringing SA LED online services to the local level.
The initial contract will be concluded as soon as possible and run until December 2011 with the possibility of extension. The extension will be largely dependent on the performance of the employee as well as the performance and operations of the SA LED Network project.
